Subject: Lake Norman Regatta np6

SAISA NP # 6 was able to complete a full rotation of 10 races on Saturday, December 4th.  Lake Norman provided a much different day than for the NP # 4 regatta last month.  We had wind all day.  The sleet balls started bouncing off the sailors during race # 4 and by race # 7 HUGE snowflakes were falling!  While A division was out sailing, B division was having a snowball fight.  Snow came down very hard during races 7, 8 and 9.  A division impressed race committee with some amazing starts with all five boats right on the line.  Three different schools took first places in both the A and B divisions.  Congratulations to the brother-sister team of Joe and Katie David from Wakefield for winning A Division.
